Welcome to MasterSync
MasterSync is a work in progress—born from a desire to disconnect from corporate cloud services and the subscription costs that come with them. I wanted a simple, cloud-like service for my phone that respected my autonomy.
Home NAS/server setups are becoming more popular, and my own goal was clear: back up thousands of irreplaceable photos of my kids growing up. Just ones and zeros, but they mean everything. I wanted the same seamless experience offered by apps like OneDrive or Dropbox— but tailored to my NAS, on my terms.
Plenty of apps exist, but none did it quite the way I envisioned. So I built MasterSync. The original goal was simple: install it on my phone and my wife's, and have it quietly sync and back up our photos to the NAS. No friction. No fuss. Out of sight, out of mind.
MasterSync does not collect personal user data. No access to your files. No ads. No subscriptions. No data harvesting. Your files, your NAS, your home.
I do ask users to consider enabling crash and analytics reporting to help improve the app— but this is entirely optional and can be toggled in the App Settings.
